The first time I went to Eureka Springs was the winter of 2010. I don’t know why I had never been there before because it is such a beautiful place!
On that trip, we stayed in a hotel and explored the town. It was lovely but made me think that camping near Eureka Springs would be even lovelier.
If you’re in the Eureka Springs area and looking for a great place to camp within reasonable driving distance, I have six campgrounds that you’re going to love!
BEST Places to Camp Near Eureka Springs, Arkansas
All of these campgrounds come highly recommended by the Arkansans who love them!
1. Bull Shoals White River State Park
“Famous for its world-class trout fishing, Bull Shoals–White River State Park lies along the shores of both Bull Shoals Lake and the White River. visitors are greeted with 113 campsites (63 class AAA, 30 Class B, and 20 tent sites with no hook ups) plus three Rent-An-RV sites. “ -source
This park offers great some of the best fishing in Arkansas plus amazing hiking and mountain biking.
Bull Shoals-White River State Park is located one hour from Eureka Springs, AR.

2. Beaver Lake Dam Site Campground
Many campers love to come to Beaver Lake Dam Site Campround because of the fishing, hiking trails, water sports, swimming, scuba diving, and sightseeing.
Since this campground also has some of the BEST tent camping in Arkansas!
“Dam Site Lake Campground sits along the vast shores of Beaver Lake in the Ozark Mountains of Northwest Arkansas, offering spacious and sunny campsites and an abundance of recreational activities.” -source
This campground is about 22 minutes from Eureka Springs.

3. Buffalo Point Campground
Buffalo Point Campground sits along the Buffalo National River. It’s a beautiful area that is worth the drive from Eureka Springs.
“Buffalo Point is the only campground in the park that has water and electric (30/50 amp) hookups for RVs.” -source
In peak season, a restaurant is open at the campground serving up delicious meals for hungry campers!
This campground is about 2 hours from Eureka Springs, AR.
Note: Blanchard Springs Cavern is a one-hour drive from Buffalo Point.

4. Devil’s Den State Park
At Devil’s Den State Park, you will find 17 cabins, 6 camper cabins, 135 campsites, and 42 sites with hookups in the horse camp.
There is also a cafe that’s open seasonally.
“An Arkansas icon, this special place nestled in Lee Creek Valley was selected as a state park site in the 1930s. Some of the park’s unique characteristics are rock formations and caverns. An impressive rock dam spans Lee Creek forming Lake Devil, an 8-acre lake for fishing and boating with canoes and pedal boats for rent. The park’s hiking, backpacking, mountain bike, and horseback riding trails lead to the surrounding Ozark National Forest.” -source
Campers who come here rave about the swimming hole that’s down the road from the horse camp. This state park also has a swimming pool!

5. Lost Bridge South on Beaver Lake
If you’re looking for a great place to camp near Eureka Springs, this campground is a favorite for many Arkansans because of the beautiful lakeside camping. There is plenty of shade at this campground and room to roam.

6. Hickory Creek Park on Beaver Lake
