When you combine two things you love, you make memories that will last a lifetime. Spending a weekend camping and riding your ATV, UTV, ORV or side-by-side is a great way to get outdoors, have fun and make memories.

After a long day of adventurous riding, it’s always nice to site by the fire at your campsite and relax.

BEST Places to Camp and Ride ORV in Arkansas

I have nine excellent suggestions of where you can camp and ride your ATV. These will definitely quench your thirst for adventure! All of these campgrounds come highly recommended by us Arkansans.

Daisy State Park

The Bear Creek Trail near Mena is great because there is also beautiful camping at the trailhead. Bring your tent or RV and stay awhile! (They also have a yurt.)

“The ATV trail follows the Lake Greeson shoreline offering panoramic views of the lake and Ouachita Mountain range. The 31 miles cross rocky outlays through a mixed pine and oak forest. It begins at Daisy State Park and travels near Kirby Landing and Bear Creek recreation areas, ending on the west end of Rough Mountain.” -source

Fairfield Bay

Also called “UTV in The Bay”, this location has four different trails (blue, yellow, orange, and green). You can download maps from their website.

Fairfield Bay has some of the BEST UTV trails near Central Arkansas.

There are designated parking areas for your truck and trailer.

Byrd’s Adventure Center ORV Park on Mulberry River

Mack’s Pines

Moccasin Gap

“Situated in the heart of the forest, this trail consists of four loop trails, each converging into the other. The surrounding forest is a mix of hardwoods and pine with numerous streams and small waterfalls. Although the area is primarily developed as a horse trail, it is actually a multiple-use trail open to bikes and hikers with portions open to Off Highway Vehicles (OHVs) & high clearance vehicles. 17 Camping spurs.” -source

There is a trail usage fee of $3 per OHV. Campground fees are $15 per site as of publishing. There is a water hydrant available and a vault toilet

Wolf Pen Gap

This location has 400 miles of trails of great ATV trails near Mena, Arkansas, a campground, and cabins. It’s loved by all who visit!

Fourche Mountain Adventures

Fourche Mountain Adventures Campground is a great campground where you can ride to the trail directly from the campground. The owner will even come by and check to make sure you had a great ride.

Bonus: They have great showers!

“We are a 40 acre campground on Hwy 270 6 1/2 miles east of Y City, Arkansas. We are adjacent to Fourche (foosh) Mountain ATV Trail system and near the Ouachita (wa shi ta) National Forest Recreation Hiking Trail.” -source

You can bring your RV or primitive camp here. They have water hookups at each site with 30/50 amp electric hookups. Restrooms and a shower area are also available.

They also have a dump station at the campground.

Redding Recreation Area

“The Redding Campground is a beautiful setting for an outdoor getaway. It sits right next to the wild and scenic Mulberry River and is surrounded by forest. Redding offers up a rock canoe launch and river access which is handicap accessible. A nice bathhouse with flush toilets and warm showers, a well-water system with spouts dispersed throughout the campground, and access to the Spy Rock and Ozark Highland Trail (OHT) is what makes Redding such a desirable place to spend the night, the weekend, or even a week.” -source

Campsites at Redding are available on a first-come/first-served basis. You cannot make reservations.

Currently, there is a $15 charge per campsite. There is also a $3 day use fee if you aren’t staying at a site.

Flush toilets are available as well as several water spigots from a well water system.

Mulberry Mountain Lodge

The campground at Mulberry Mountain RV & Tent Campground is wooded and shady. They have pull-through sites with water and electric hookups (50 amp, 30 amp, & 110v).

You can also primitive camp here!

There is also a nice bathroom, shower house, and a dump station.

Also, be sure to bring your fishing pole! There are four large fishing ponds located on the property.
