3. JFK Campground and Recreation Area
If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it 1,000 times, JFK Campground and Recreation Area is one of my favorites in Arkansas. This campground is smaller than others in the area and is right on the shores of the Little Red River where you will find premier-class trout fishing in Arkansas!
From within the campground, you can experience a great trail that will lead you to the Collins Creek Hiking Trail and Cascade. This is a fun, and easy hike! It’s perfect for kids who want to play in the falls.
Don’t miss the Greers Ferry National Fish Hatchery while you’re there! It’s within walking distance of the campground.
